Ingredients

  • 4 pieces of turkey shanks with skin
  • 8 potatoes
  • 4 onions
  • 2 apples
  • 5 g of cloves
  • 10 bay leaves
  • salt and pepper
  • Witbier beer
  • Brown Ale beer
  • lager
  • 200 ml of multiflower honey
  • thyme
  • juniper berries
  • cumin
  • lemon peel

Preparation

  1. Combine all the ingredients of the marinade and pour it over the shanks, then leave it in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
  2. After this time, drain the meat and put it in the oven - bake for about 60 minutes at 200 C. Turn the meat over from time to time and water it down with the remaining marinade.
  3. After 30 minutes, add halved potatoes and onions, as well as salt and pepper.
  4. After another 10 minutes, add apples cut in quarters and stripped of their seed nests, to which we attach bay leaves using cloves.
