Our concern for the environment is expressed in the implementation of carbon footprint analyses generated by our plants. Through investments in renewable energy sources, in 2023 we plan to reduce the carbon footprint by 1,280,000 kg.

We are implementing a policy to reduce the energy intensity of the plant. We conduct periodic energy audits, which indicate actions to reduce harmful emissions to the environment. We have introduced energy-saving LED lighting.

Heat recovered from the cooling system accounts for almost 30% of the total thermal energy consumed in our plants. Our heat pump has recovered thermal energy at the level of 91,519,000 MJ.

We are implementing a program to reduce production waste and segregation and recycling. Specialized waste disposal companies process about 35% of our waste. We constantly educate and expand the awareness of our employees on waste segregation.

We use composite packaging that is easily recyclable. We have reduced the weight of individual packages to the maximum. We cooperate only with leading suppliers with higher environmental standards. All cardboard boxes are made of FSC-certified material. Currently, 30% of the packaging used in production is biodegradable.

We have implemented a water-saving program. We have a sewage treatment plant where the sludge is utilized in our biogas plants. In the group, we use two agricultural biogas plants with a total capacity of 2.2 MW.
